Since its inception five years ago, the enchanted world of Weirdwood Manor has grown. And grown. And grown. Families have come to love it for its whimsical characters, fantastical creatures, and magical mysteries. Now we’re taking big leaps to grow the brand.

In partnership with Henry Holt Books for Young Readers, a Macmillan Publishing company, we’ve developed a prequel book series to Weirdwood Manor called The Thieves of Weirdwood, which tells the story of Arthur Weirdwood (aka Arthur Benton) when he was a boy. The first novel in the three-book series will be released April 7, 2020.

Written for middle grade readers, the story follows the adventures of young Arthur and Wally Tinsworth, two daring thieves who stumble into a twisted and magical storybook world. There they confront villains and monsters from their deepest nightmares and find themselves on the brink of an all out battle that threatens to undo the very balance that holds their universe together.

It’s an honour to be working with Henry Holt to bring the world of Weirdwood Manor to bookshelves everywhere. Founded in 1866, it is one of the oldest trade publishers in the United States and is known for its quality picture books, chapter books, and novels for preschoolers through young adults.

In the Spring of 2020, we’ll be launching the second volume of the Weirdwood Manor app. Picking up from the cliffhanger where Oliver, Celia, and Eugene left off, the new app continues the mysterious story and features more games, puzzles, riddles, and hidden secrets.
